An Exciting New Series from Daikin

Daikin Innovation launched its new air-cooled Small Inverter Chiller and Heat Pump Series on 1 November 2021. This completes Daikin's R32 family of commercial and industrial air-conditioning products, and extends the highly successful Daikin Bluevolution Range.

The new Series is made at Daikin's factory in Cecchina, Italy, and offers cooling and heating from 16kW to 90kW; ideal to help companies reduce their environmental impact. Extended capacity, compact design, and a wide operating envelope are combined with high energy efficiency, giving low direct and indirect CO2 emission range. Top-class cooling and heating performance includes flow temperatures of +60oC for heating or -15oC for cooling.

Marco Flavio Calanca, Daikin Applied Europe's Marketing Director, has stated that: "With less refrigerant charge than R-410A, and a low GWP [Global Warming Potential], the R-32 Small Inverter Chiller is an environmentally friendly solution. It is quick to install, easy to maintain, and offers outstanding energy efficiencies." The range is versatile, with many attractive features for your HVAC projects, including quiet operation, adaptability, reduced carbon footprint, and broad operating limits.

There are different options, so you can choose the one to suit your company's needs. Heat pumps are intended for use in an ambient temperature between 20°C and 35°C, and are able to produce hot water at 60oC. Daikin Innovation's range includes a cooling-only version which chills water down from 25°C to -15°C and can operate at an ambient temperature of 20°C to 45°C. For companies working in warmer conditions, there is a high ambient temperature kit which extends the upper limit to 52°C. All are compact, elegant, and can switch between standard and boost mode.

A notable advantage of Daikin Innovation's R-32 Series is advanced use of smart technology, giving high-quality performance along with exceptional flexibility. The R-32 Small Inverter Chiller can communicate with any external Building Management System (BMS) and offers a "Master and Slave" option, so you can connect up to 4 units and designate one as the Master unit, controlling the others. A Mobile Configuartion App makes commissioning and adapting simple, and Daikin on Site gives remote monitoring and system optimisation, including online troubleshooting.

Daikin Innovation are leaders in R-32 product design and development, and have built their reputation since introducing the first chiller using this refrigerant in 2018. This new product is a further step towards improving sustainable solutions for industry.
